This fall, UvA Talen is offering intensive courses as well as evening courses in 12 different languages via distance learning. Maybe you’re looking to master the basics of Portuguese, German or Italian? To improve your English or Dutch for a boost in your workplace or studies? Make a start on a fascinating language you’ve wanted to learn for a long time, such as Russian, Japanese, Chinese or Arabic? Or perhaps your aim is to obtain an advanced level of Spanish or Swedish? Then this is your chance!

Intensive online courses in Dutch and English

UvA Talen offers intensive daytime courses in Dutch and English all year round. The courses follow the successful formula: five lessons a week from Monday to Friday. During these intensive courses, your language proficiency will rise up to two levels on the scale of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

Evening courses in our interactive online classroom

Dutch, English, Spanish, Italian, French, German, Portuguese, Swedish, Arabic, Russian, Chinese and Japanese courses via distance learning

Our evening courses take place once or twice a week spread over the course of ten weeks. This gives you plenty of time after each lesson to do your homework and to digest what you have learnt – time that you are sure to need! During these online courses your language proficiency will rise up to two levels on the scale of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
