Brazilian level 5
Course information
Brazilian level 5 is intended for students with an intermediate knowledge of Brazilian Portuguese. To take this course you should already be able to speak and write in the present and past tenses. You are familiar with common Brazilian Portuguese expressions and know how to use them.
Upon completion of Brazilian level 5 you will be able to talk about the future, for example about something you are hoping for (eu espero que você tenha um óculos de sol) or something you are going to do (eu comerei, eu nadarei). You will be able to tell something about your health, for example to a GP. You will also be able to write about your plans, such as what you are going to eat or what you are going to do at the weekend, and you will be able to easily read an article about an event that is planned, for example an announcement on Facebook.
The grammar covered in this course is related to speaking and writing about the future: among other things you will learn the future tense of morar (to live), abrir (to open), vender (to sell) and ser (to be). You will also learn ordinal numbers (primeiro, segundo, terceiro, etc.).
