English Beginners
Course information
The English Beginners language course is for those who have no knowledge at all of the English language. During the course you will quickly develop a basic knowledge of reading, writing, speaking and listening in English. Basic grammar is also an important part of the course.
After completing English Beginners you can talk about familiar subjects such as your work, family and where you live. You can also give simple information about the past and the future. You can understand simple conversations in English on daily life, provided they are spoken slowly and clearly.
During this course you learn to read short, simple texts, such as a profile, website or a message on social media. You learn to write short texts about yourself and the people around you.
Grammar covered during English Beginners includes the present tense and the past tense using ‘to be'. You learn to use times (next week, last Friday), negative sentences and ‘wh’ questions and the plural forms of common words (book/books).
