English Pre-Intermediate 2
Course information
The level of the course English Pre-Intermediate 2 means that students should have a comprehensive basic knowledge of reading, writing, speaking and listening in English. For example, you have to be able to hold short unprepared conversations about everyday topics and to write structured and clear emails.
During English Pre-Intermediate 2, you will learn to express your opinions and feelings. These can be on art, music, literature or sport, but may also be about ethical issues or something close to your heart. You will learn to formulate both positive and negative responses, and to write both formal and informal apologies.
On completion of this course, you will be able to write items including blog posts about something you have achieved or done, using linkers (at first, soon, in the end). You will be able to recognise the conclusions drawn in online reviews and give the arguments on which they are based.
Grammar covered includes conditionals (if the weather is good, we’ll go to the park) and the use of the passive (are sold, was built).
