French Beginners
Course information
The French Beginners course is the right one for you if you have no knowledge of the French language (or can’t say much more than bonjour, ça va and au revoir). During the course, you will quickly develop the basic skills of reading, writing, speaking and listening in French. Grammar and vocabulary are also part of the course.
After completing French Beginners, you will be able to read simple French sentences, for example on a poster or in an advertisement. You will be able to introduce yourself by saying you who are, where you come from, what kind of job you have and where you live. You are also able to fill in a form or questionnaire in which you are asked to provide these details.
The grammar you learn in French Beginners is a solid basis to learn more French. You learn to use the commonly used verbs s’appeler (to be called), avoir (to have), être (to be), venir (to come), aller (to go), aimer (to love), pouvoir (be able to) and devoir (to have to) in the present tense. In addition to this, you learn how to ask questions and to use the negative.
