French level 12
Course information
In the French level 12 course you will take your language skills to a very high degree of proficiency. By the end of this course you will have covered every aspect of the French language and you will be able to:
- Write a work experience report
- Conduct a business conversation with a customer or manager
- Write a review, article or essay about a book, film or play
Who is it for?
This course is suitable for you if you can speak French at a very high level. For example, it's been a long time since you had any difficulty talking about everyday things and you can use French in your workplace. You know how to write a good motivation letter and take part in a job interview.
What will you learn?
During French level 12 you will improve your French reading, writing, listening and speaking skills. The course explores working in France in greater depth, following on from French level 11. Imagine you have been able to land a work experience in France, how do you write a work experience report? And how do you talk to your manager, a colleague or a customer?
Besides work, culture is an important aspect of French level 12. You will learn how to talk and write about art, literature, theatre and film, for example during a presentation, review, article or essay.
And grammar?
The grammar you learn during this course includes:
- Pronoun order: elle me le donne, je le lui prête, nous te les offrons
- The use of quand and si: quand je reviens à Paris or si je reviens à Paris
Other grammar depends on your needs and wishes and those of your fellow students.
Assessment
The intake procedure for this course comprises: intake interview, online testAfter you have registered for this course, we will invite you for an assessment to determine your level. We recommend that you enrol at least two weeks before the start of the course. If you enrol later than this, we cannot guarantee there will be time for the intake procedure. If you have completed the French level 11 course at UvA Talen, an assessment will not be necessary.
