Italian level 2
Course information
The Italian level 2 course is suitable for anyone with some prior knowledge of the Italian language. You can already tell something about your background: family, work, hobbies, age and where you come from. You will further expand your basic language skills in speaking, listening, reading and writing in Italian.
By the end of Italian level 2 you will be able to conduct simple conversations in familiar situations, such as the supermarket or other shops, or with an acquaintance. You will be able to answer simple questions on everyday subjects, such as your family or daily life.
You will learn how to read and write short messages, for example a Facebook post, a text message or a holiday postcard.
Grammar covered in Italian level 2 includes use of the indicativo passato prossimo (present perfect tense), possessive pronouns (mio, tuo, suo, nostro, vostro, loro, etc.) and asking short questions (beginning with chi, come, dove, quando perché, che cosa).
Assessment
The intake procedure for this course comprises: intake interviewAfter you have registered for this course, we will invite you for an assessment to determine your level. We recommend that you enrol at least two weeks before the start of the course. If you enrol later than this, we cannot guarantee there will be time for the intake procedure. If you have completed the Italian Beginners course at UvA Talen, an assessment will not be necessary.
