Italian level 3
Course information
To take the Italian level 3 course, you need to have a good basic knowledge of Italian. For example, you are able to tell or write something about your holiday, making use of the past and present tenses.
During Italian level 3 you expand your basic Italian skills in listening, speaking, reading and writing.
By the end of the course you will be able to conduct conversations more smoothly. You will be able to ask and answer questions, exchange ideas and give information on familiar topics, using simple words and sentences yet in a flowing style. You will also be able to speak about the past using the passato prossimo and the imperfetto.
By the end of Italian level 3 your listening proficiency will also be greatly improved: for example, you will be able to understand detailed instructions on how to use a TV or computer, and if you watch a TV programme or film, you will be able to understand the main story line. After this course you will also be able to write a short text thanking or apologising to someone.
You already have a good command of basic Italian grammar, which you will expand further during this course, for example you will learn how to use irregular verbs (piacere, fare, farcela, sapere, andarsene, andarci, cominciare and finire) and double negatives.
