Italian level 6
Course information
The Italian level 6 course is suitable for anyone who is already at intermediate level. This means that you are already able to express your opinion both verbally and in writing and you can actively take part in a group conversation.
During Italian level 6 you will further expand your Italian skills in listening, speaking, reading and writing.
Following this course you will be able to give your opinion using structured arguments, both in a conversation and in writing. You will also be able to write short reports about something you have experienced or something that interests you.
You will have fairly extensive passive language skills: you will understand the meaning of a longer text and be able to follow written instructions. You will also be able to follow a speech or instructions reasonably well.
Grammar covered during this course includes: making sentences using sebbene (though), nonostante (despite), malgrado (in spite of) and benché (although) and various forms of the gerundio.
Assessment
The intake procedure for this course comprises: intake interviewAfter you have registered for this course, we will invite you for an assessment to determine your level. We recommend that you enrol at least two weeks before the start of the course. If you enrol later than this, we cannot guarantee there will be time for the intake procedure. If you have completed the Italian level 5 course at UvA Talen, an assessment will not be necessary.
