Japanese level 4

Course information

The course Japanese level 4 is intended for students who have a solid elementary knowledge of the Japanese language. You should already have mastered Hiragana, Katakana and basic grammar, be able to express your thoughts and feelings, and describe situations using simple structures with present and past tenses.

At the end of the course, you will be able to read and understand passages on familiar daily topics written in different styles of vocabulary and basic Kanji. You will become competent in interacting with people and become more fluent using different forms of verbs and adjectives.

After successfully completing this course, you will know approximately 660 Japanese words. You can learn 145 Kanji characters through self-study. Your teacher will be happy to provide you with the information needed to support your efforts. You will start producing more complex sentences useful for different situations (both formal and informal).

The end level of this course is equivalent to level N5 of the Japanese Language Proficiency Test.

The course material is written in English, so a basic understanding of English is needed.

If you successfully complete this course, you will receive a certificate showing the level you have attained and you will be able to continue to Japanese JLPT N5 Exam Preparation.
