Japanese level 7
Course information
The Japanese level 7 course is intended for students with a good basic knowledge of the Japanese language. You should be able to clearly convey simple information, give instructions and retell a story you have heard.
After Japanese Level 7 you will be able to ask someone to do something for you. You will also learn how to give advice in a respectful manner and express your gratitude for something that someone has done for you.
During this course you will learn around 150 new words, so by the end of the course you will know around 1,100 Japanese words. You can learn 45 new Kanji characters (300 in total) through self-study. Your teacher will be happy to provide you with the information needed to support your efforts.
The grammar taught in Japanese Level 7 includes asking questions (どこに行くかわかりません), forming passive sentences (さいふをぬすまれました) and using auxiliary verbs (テーブルの上に本がおいてあります).
The end level of this course is equal to three quarters of Level N4 of the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT).
Assessment
The intake procedure for this course comprises: intake interviewAfter you have registered for this course, we will invite you for an assessment to determine your level. We recommend that you enrol at least two weeks before the start of the course. If you enrol later than this, we cannot guarantee there will be time for the intake procedure. If you have completed the Japanese level 6 course at UvA Talen, an assessment will not be necessary.
