Spanish level 2
Course information
Spanish level 2 is intended for students with some knowledge of Spanish. You may participate in this course if you are able to hold simple conversations, ask and answer personal questions and are familiar with the present tense.
The primary aim of the course is to expand your active language skills and to improve your proficiency in speaking, listening and reading in Spanish. As proficiency levels increase, the Spanish courses focus more attention on writing skills.
On completion of Spanish level 2 you will be able to hold conversations on a range of everyday topics. You will be able to talk about such things as what you do and do not like, what you did today and where you live. You will also be able to make a hotel reservation, order a meal and ask for directions.
During this course you will expand your basic grammatical knowledge with the past tense (for example estudié), the imperfect tense (estudiaba) and the gerundio (estoy estudiando).
If you successfully complete this course, you will receive a certificate showing the level you have attained.
