UvA Talen at the I am not a tourist Fair

On 6 October you can visit UvA Talen at the I am not a tourist Fair, the one-day event specially for expats living and working in the Netherlands. The fair is taking place in the Beurs van Berlage. UvA Talen will be hosting a stand and also giving a Dutch for Beginners workshop.

Come meet us at our stand for more information about our language courses and translation services, a chat with our staff and teachers and to take a look at the course materials we use. If you are interested in a language course, we can advise you about which course will suit you best.

Assess your Dutch in 5 minutes

Do you want to know what your current level of Dutch is? Then visit one of our experienced teachers at our stand for a five-minute assessment. After the assessment you will know what your Dutch speaking level is, based on the Common European Framework of Reference, and we can advise which course is best for you.

UvA Talen always asks new students to make an assessment test, so this could be your first step to improving your Dutch!

Answer our translation question and win a prize

Our translators have come up with a question for you to answer! The question itself is still a secret, but we can already tell you that if you know the right answer, you could win a gift voucher worth € 50.

And our translators will be at the fair throughout the day to answer any questions you have about translations and text editing.

Workshop Dutch for beginners: Spreek Nederlands met me

Do you know a bit of Dutch but are you afraid to use it? Or are you intimidated by all those strange sounds and tricky vowels? Then come and join our workshop!

In this fun and energetic workshop our team will introduce you to some practical words you can use in everyday situations. The workshop is aimed at absolute beginners, people who already understand some Dutch and anyone who wants to join in.

You can join our workshop at 2.00 pm in the Mendes da Costa room.
