Chinese level 6
Course information
The course Chinese level 6 is designed for students who can speak and understand Chinese reasonably well. During this course, you will increasingly expand your vocabulary, deepen your understanding of Chinese culture and learn more advanced grammatical constructs to communicate more specific and complex ideas in Chinese, both verbally and in writing.
Topics dealt with include leisure and hobbies, drinks, hospitality and Chinese habits.
At the end of the course, you will be able to communicate in Chinese at an intermediate level. You will be able to manage most communication in Chinese when travelling in China.
The end level of Chinese level 6 equals two-thirds of level 3 of the HSK proficiency test (500 words). This level can be compared to B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference.
Assessment
The intake procedure for this course comprises: intake interviewAfter you have registered for this course, we will invite you for an assessment to determine your level. We recommend that you enrol at least two weeks before the start of the course. If you enrol later than this, we cannot guarantee there will be time for the intake procedure. If you have completed the Chinese level 5 course at UvA Talen, an assessment will not be necessary.
