Spanish level 6
Course information
This language course is intended for students whose Spanish is at intermediate level. You should be familiar with basic grammar and be comfortable with holding ordinary conversations on a range of topics.
You will extend your active language skills further in Spanish level 6. The primary focus of the course is an expansion of your standard speaking, listening, reading and writing skills in Spanish. Attention will be paid to grammar and vocabulary in order to achieve this.
On completion of the course, you will be able to conduct proactive conversations in Spanish in a variety of different situations and on a range of topics, for example about your education, about travel, traffic and feelings. You will also be able to talk in detail about experiences and events, to express your opinion and to announce your plans.
After completing this course, you will have a broad, advanced knowledge of Spanish. You will learn such things as the imperfecto de subjuntivo (si tuviera más tiempo, ...), the estilo indirecto (Carmen dijo que ...) and the voz pasiva (el cuadro fue pintado).
Assessment
The intake procedure for this course comprises: intake interview, online testAfter you have registered for this course, we will invite you for an assessment to determine your level. We recommend that you enrol at least two weeks before the start of the course. If you enrol later than this, we cannot guarantee there will be time for the intake procedure. If you have completed the Spanish level 5 course at UvA Talen, an assessment will not be necessary.
