Dutch Business Writing

Course information

The Dutch Business Writing course is intended for students who have an excellent command of Dutch as a second language but who experience difficulty in writing work-related texts. During this course, you will learn to write business texts in Dutch, such as commercial reports, letters and emails.

This language course focuses on two important aspects of business writing. First of all, attention is paid to the process of writing. And secondly you will work on improving your Dutch. Both text structure and writing style are treated in detail to improve your writing process. You will also learn how to prepare various types of text and how to create a logical structure for the text. Your Dutch language skills will be perfected using grammar, punctuation and spelling exercises.

The goal of the course is error-free writing of a well-structured and clearly formulated text. The Dutch Business Writing course concludes with a final assignment. The result of this assignment will be used to determine your level of proficiency, which will be stated on your certificate.

At this level, UvA Talen also offers the courses Dutch Writing Skills and Dutch Fluency Skills.

If you successfully complete this course, you will receive a certificate.
