Brazilian level 6
Course information
Brazilian level 6 is intended for students with an intermediate knowledge of Brazilian Portuguese. To take this course you should already be able to speak and write in the past, present and future tenses.
During Brazilian level 6 you will further expand your proficiency in speaking, listening, reading and writing. The focus is on being able to use Brazilian Portuguese more flexibly. You will learn more about typical Brazilian Portuguese expressions and learn how to use synonyms and antonyms (such as por acaso and casualmente) so that you can speak more fluently and freely. You will also find it steadily easier to carry out a conversation, even if the other person speaks quickly.
The grammar covered in this course will enable you to be more flexible in your use of Brazilian Portuguese. Among other things you will learn how to use adjectives and adverbs, such as lento/lentamente (slow/slowly) and feliz/felizmente (happy/happily).
Assessment
The intake procedure for this course comprises: intake interviewAfter you have registered for this course, we will invite you for an assessment to determine your level. We recommend that you enrol at least two weeks before the start of the course. If you enrol later than this, we cannot guarantee there will be time for the intake procedure. If you have completed the Brazilian level 5 course at UvA Talen, an assessment will not be necessary.
