English Intermediate
Course information
Boost your English with the English Intermediate course. This course helps you if you have an intermediate command of English, but have trouble using the language actively. This could be due to lack of confidence in your English or to a lack of opportunities to use English in your day-to-day activities.
This course focuses primarily on active language use: speaking, listening, conversation and vocabulary. Reading and writing are addressed as well, but to a lesser extent. Speaking correctly requires some grammar, including the formulation of questions and the use of narrative tenses (past simple, past continuous, past perfect) to talk about the past.
The topics addressed in English Intermediate are general, personal or work-related. You will learn to speak about your own experiences (e.g. learning a new language), your work, friendship and family. You will also learn to respond appropriately when someone states an opinion (me too, me neither), to talk about a film or TV series that you have seen and about current topics.
