Cambridge C1 Advanced Exam Preparation
Course information
If you have a high level of English proficiency and want to demonstrate this, for example because you want to study in an English-speaking country, the Cambridge C1 Advanced exam is the perfect exam for you. During this exam training, you will prepare for the exam by working on your language skills in reading, writing, speaking and listening and on your exam skills.
To participate in the exam training, you will already need to have level C1 proficiency in English. You can read about this level here.
Language skills
In addition to reading, writing, speaking and listening, you will also work on your vocabulary and grammar during this course. At level C1, it is important that you can speak fluently and clearly. You practise this by speaking to your fellow students, as you will speak to a fellow candidate during the exam.
During the writing exam, you will be asked to write two types of texts (review, essay, proposal, report, letter and/or email). During the exam training, you will learn to write these texts at level C1, so that you are prepared for any assignments the exam might include.
You work on your reading and listening skills by means of various texts and audio clips, such as fiction, articles, presentations and radio broadcasts.
Exam skills
In addition to the four language skills, the course will also devote attention to general exam skills, including time management, summarising texts and working out what exactly is being asked. You will practise on official Cambridge Assessment English practice tests.
