Summer courses: learn a new language online or in-class and double your discount!

This summer, UvA Talen is offering intensive courses as well as evening courses in 12 different languages. Each course option allows you to learn a new language in a fast and fun way while leaving time to enjoy the summer sunshine. Want an extra discount?

All intensive summer courses are coordinated so that you can easily take two courses consecutively. If you enrol in a follow-up language course, we are offering a 22% discount on the second course**. After you’ve started with your summer course, we will inform you on how to claim this discount via email.

Interactive summer courses

An intensive course at UvA Talen takes two, three, or four weeks, depending on the language you want to learn. These courses take place from Monday through Friday, or three times per week. Don’t have the summer off? We also offer evening courses that take place once or twice per week and last for ten weeks. During these intensive courses, your language proficiency will rise up to two levels on the scale of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. Prices start at €375.

Maybe you’re looking to master the basics of Spanish, Portuguese or German during your holiday? To improve your English or Dutch for a boost in your workplace or studies? Or make a start on a fascinating language you’ve wanted to learn for a long time, such as Russian, Japanese, Chinese or Arabic?

We offer summer courses in Dutch, English, Spanish, Italian, French, German, Portuguese, Swedish,  Arabic, Russian, Chinese and Japanese.

 To find your summer course, go to the group courses page and click on the language in question in the orange bar. After choosing your desired language course level, you will find a table at the bottom of the page in which the intensive summer courses are indicated by an orange sun.
