Summer courses at UvA Talen - Double your course to double your discount!
UvA Talen offers a variety of language courses during the summer, catering to different schedules and interests. Each course is designed to maximize your learning progress while still leaving ample time to bask in the warm summer sunshine! Whether you’re a daytime learner or a night owl, we’ve got every option for you – and in 13 different languages to choose from.
This year, we would like to offer you the chance to double your discount if you take back-to-back language courses. Yes, you read that right! If you enrol in a course beginning in July or August, we are offering you a 10% discount on your first course, with the opportunity to double your discount on a follow-up course. Read the information below on how to claim this special summer promotion.
Here’s how it works…
At UvA Talen, we’ve made it convenient for you to seamlessly enrol in back-to-back courses after completion of each level. Therefore, our discount promotion will go as follows:
We will be offering you a 10% discount on a course starting this July or August, using the discount code SUMMER23 at course checkout on our website.* However, the best part is, if you enrol in a follow-up language course before 31 December, 2023, we are offering you a 20% discount on the second course**. After you’ve started with your summer course, we will inform you on how to claim this next discount via email.

Interactive summer courses
An intensive group course at UvA Talen takes two, three, or four weeks, depending on the language you want to learn. These courses take place from Monday through Friday, or three times per week. Don’t have the summer off? We also offer evening courses that take place once or twice per week and last for ten weeks. During these intensive courses, your language proficiency will rise up to two levels on the scale of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. Prices start at €450.
Would you prefer a course that fits your own schedule? You can also follow an e-learning self-guided language course through our e-learning platform, The Language Academy. By choosing this option, you are able to take a language course at own pace and from wherever you are in the world. You can also opt in for the Online+teacher package, in which you will have either five or ten personalised lessons with one of our language teachers in addition. Prices start at €175.
What languages do we offer?
We offer summer group courses in all 13 of our available languages, to include: Dutch, English, Spanish, Italian, French, German, Portuguese, Swedish, Arabic, Russian, Chinese, Japanese, and Korean. These courses are offered both online or in-class at our location in Amsterdam. To find your summer course, go to the group courses page and click on the language that interests you in the orange bar. After choosing your desired language course level, you will find a table at the bottom of the page in which the intensive summer courses are indicated by an orange sun.
Our e-learning programmes through The Language Academy are offered in Dutch, English, Spanish, French, German, and Italian.
